Classic Stories #10 - 50 years of VW Golf: Fabians’ Golf Mk4 GTI Anniversary Model from 2001.
„Jubi" with leather:
For the 25th anniversary of the Golf GTI, Volkswagen introduced a special model in 2001 that made GTI fans’ hearts beat faster: the ‘Jubi,’ as they affectionately call it. Like the early Golf Mk1 GTI, only three paint colors were available: black magic pearl effect (L C9Z), tornado red (L Y3D), or reflex silver metallic (L A7W). The Jubi GTI is powered by a 1.8T engine with 132 kW (180 hp) – enough for a top speed of 222 km/h. The polished BBS alloy wheels in 7.5 J x 18” were standard, as were the red brake calipers. Exclusive to the Jubi GTI were RECARO seats with black and red Le Mans fabric covers, which have been replaced here with black leather upholstery. From the factory, the Jubi GTI only had perforated leather with flash red stitching on the steering wheel, handbrake, and gear lever. The special model was limited to 3.000 units.
